Current Deployment Data for Buoy E0702, Instrument diagnostics

Listings below include NetCDF and possibly MATLAB binary and CSV files (suitable for Excel users). The NetCDF and MATLAB files are basically equivalent, but the CSV has just about all of the metadata stripped out of it, and will not contain any multidimensional time variables. The NetCDF files are always going to be slightly more current than the other files.

There are two kinds of data sources being used. The primary source is usually data relayed in via cell phone, but a backup transmission route via the GOES satellite was added. The GOES data stream has more frequent transmission problems and should be considered a backup to use in in case of problems with the cell phones. So which should I use? Well, basically you should look at the time extents. If the "cell phone" NetCDF file is anywhere close to current, use that. otherwise use the "GOES".

Available Historical Data for Buoy Location E07, Instrument diagnostics

Listings below include NetCDF, MATLAB binary, and possibly CSV files (suitable for Excel users). The NetCDF and MATLAB files are basically equivalent, but the CSV has just about all of the metadata stripped out of it, and will not contain any multidimensional time variables. NetCDF is used for the base data archival system, and in fact the MATLAB and CSV files are generated from NetCDF.

Historical files are created from the best data from the cell phone, GOES, and post-recovery data streams. Post-recovery data is what we get directly from the instrument - when possible - after a deployment has ended.
